Ron Stamp

Ron Stamp was born in Newfoundland, where sea and storm and ice are part of every Newfoundlander’s blood; where each man and woman must learn to harvest the sea or starve. As for all of his peers, a rite of passage for young Ron Stamp was to take a small boat out to a grounded iceberg near home to chop off precious shards of blue perfect ice – they called them “bergy bits”- to take home to his family as a treat.
